Our Services

Accommodation comprises of private, semi private and shared rooms. The home is V.H.I approved. All bedrooms have overhead lights and wash-hand basin. While all bedrooms are furnished, residents are welcome to add their own personal effects. Extensions have been added over the years. Food is home cooked from locally purchased fresh produce. A Choice of menu is offered and special diets can be catered for. Residents may dine in the dining room or if preferred, in the privacy of their own rooms. Home baking is a speciality.

Amenities available include wheelchair accessibility, two medibaths, walk/wheel in shower room, lift to 1st floor, handrails along corridors for safety and nurse call system fitted in each room. Residents and their visitors can relax in the attractive conservatory, spacious sitting room downstairs, lounge upstairs or dining room.

Long stay, respite and convalescent care is provided. Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours a day. A very personal level of care delivery and the individual needs of each resident are of the up-most importance to the dedicated staff, and the proprietors who are two highly qualified and experienced nurses. A doctor is on call at all times and residents may also retain the services of their own G.P. Mass is celebrated weekly and clergymen of different denominations visit on a regular basis. Recreational activities are organised in the afternoons tailored to the individual needs of each resident. There are no restrictions on visiting hours. Ample car parking is provided. The local shops and Church is only a few minutes walk away.

We can provide our residents with additional facilities such as physiotherapy, chiropody, hairdressing, alternative therapy etc. which can be arranged at any time.

Taking all the above facilities into consideration, our aim at Borris Lodge is to provide safe, pleasant homely accommodation for all our residents and their families to enjoy, in a relaxed environment.
